A Space Where
All of You Belongs

Ocean Lane Counseling & Wellness is a warm, affirming, and culturally responsive space where you are invited to show up as your full, authentic self. I specialize in supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, BIPOC communities, Caribbean populations, and people from historically marginalized and underserved communities, while welcoming clients of all backgrounds.

My work is grounded in cultural responsiveness, social justice, and liberatory practice. I believe our emotional well-being is shaped not only by what happens within us, but also by the world we move through. Experiences of racism, homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, ableism, and other forms of discrimination and systemic oppression can take a real toll on our mental health, as can experiences and trauma carried across generations.

In therapy, we can make space to understand these experiences within the larger context of your life, not simply as something within you that needs to be “fixed.” Our work may include exploring cultural and generational experiences, challenging internalized messages, recognizing sources of strength and resilience, and reclaiming the freedom to define yourself on your own terms. Sometimes, simply having a space where your experiences can be named, witnessed, and understood can be healing in itself. That, too, is part of what Ocean Lane represents: a place to process, gain insight, and find your way forward.

My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), with mindfulness and culturally responsive practices woven throughout. Together, we’ll explore what may be getting in the way, develop practical tools, and work toward meaningful change that reflects your goals, values, and lived experience.

Come as you are.
Let’s work toward where you want to be.
